St. Jude is a lifesaving care and treatment for children. The name comes from Saint Thaddeus a patron saint.

Smile Train provides corrective surgery for children with cleft lips and palates. Smile Train is a Christian charity.

About Darlene Arber

Darlene’s music has always been a part of her life. She was born in Buffalo New York into a family of five siblings. Her grandparents were very important in her early years. Darlene’s “Nana” gave her a strong work ethic. Her grandpa planted a love of music through his playing the mandolin, harmonica and violin.

During her teenage years Darlene began to develop her musical talent by exchanging house cleaning for voice lessons. She sang in high school musical productions and in church choirs which began to build her skill and confidence as a singer.

In 1968 Richard and Darlene Arber were married. They moved to Indiana and then Colorado in 1972 as Richard completed his education. During those years Darlene worked primarily in clerical positions at the universities while singing in local churches.

“One of a Kind”

It was a great honor to work on this album with Ed Edwards, One Of A Kind, producer, song-writer, musician, singer, and excellent coach. All of the musicians and back up singers bring exceptional talent to the songs. I look forward to working with all of them on my next album.

The title “One Of A Kind” comes from singing songs that are all unique, like “All In The Serve”. Life moves in a fast pace and all too often we miss God coaching us to use our unique abilities to serve. “The Breath You Take”, reminds us that each day brings moments uncommon to the day before, that offers something to be remembered.

To all of you who listen to the songs THANKS, remember you were created by God, as “One Of A Kind”.

“In The Moment”

We often miss receiving genuine acts of love because our days are filled with moments that pass by swiftly. Love can be expressed in many ways, but one way always remains the same – love gives. I believe the songs on this album give hope that will open our hearts to God’s unconditional love and allow God to work on our behalf -“In The Moment”.
